During this teaching practicum, I have to make lesson plan before going to teach in HCMUTE. As you know that lesson plan is very important to be made by the teacher. It is because lesson plan consists of complete explanation about overall teaching and learning process. We have to plan starting from the class profile, students’ level, objectives, time allotment, problem and solution, teaching approach, material, teaching aids, and step by steps procedure of teaching. In this case, those are very essential in this teaching practicum.
Before teaching, I began to prepare my lesson plan and also the media used. When the material was given, I read the content carefully and design appropriate activities. However, it was not just that easy because I taught non-major English students for General English and they are not good at speaking and listening. Thus, I tried to design interesting activities for students.
In addition, I had to teach ESP class. The material of ESP was about computer networks. I had to teach English-majored students. I began to understand the content of the material and make a lesson plan as well as media for this. I did not know why am I very excited to teach ESP class. Maybe it is because I like computer. In addition, the students are English majored students. So, it could be easier to teach them.
